                 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT
                 FORM FCC 328 TO THE FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS
                 COMMISSION TO OBTAIN CERTIFICATION OF THE CITY
                 OF CHATTANOOGA TO REGULATE BASIC CABLE
                 TELEVISION SERVICE RATES.

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that the Mayor be and is hereby 
authorized
       to submit Form FCC 328 to the Federal Communications Commission
       for certification of the City of Chattanooga to regulate basic
       cable television service rates in the City of Chattanooga,
       Tennessee.
